GDOL to host Veterans Appreciation Day in Dalton

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Dalton Career Center will host a hiring and information event for veterans and other job seekers Thursday, June 26. Dubbed Veterans Appreciation Day, the event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the career center, located at 1406 Chattanooga Ave.

Company representatives from Beaulieu America, Mohawk, and Shaw Industries will be available to take applications and conduct interviews with veterans and other job seekers who may want to get jobs in the floor covering industry.

A representative of Simian Wrangler, a company that specializes in business coaching, process improvement, and personal development services, will provide instruction in small business management and how to start-up a new company.

Representatives of the U.S. Veterans Administration and U.S. Social Security Administration will be on hand to provide information to veterans and other job seekers on a wide range of services available.
