On April 22, investigators from the Whitfield and Murray County Sheriffs Office conducted a joint investigation into the illegal possession and distribution of methamphetamine within the counties according to Murray County Sheriff Gary Langford.

“During this rapidly evolving investigation, a consent search was conducted at the residence of 140 Mountain Oak Drive in Chatsworth,” Langford said. “Pursuant to this search by investigators, approximately 2648 gross grams (4.77 pounds) of methamphetamine was located and seized along with other drug paraphenalia used in the distribution of the drug.

“Investigators estimate the methamphetamine has a street value of around $300,000. Arrests have been made in this investigation and other arrests are to follow.”
